St. Thérèse of Lisieux Book Study for Women
St. Therese’s humble, simple and joyful acknowledgment of God's mercy and love in her own uncomplicated life can be a source of inspiration for those who read her autobiography Story of a Soul. It’s simple yet powerful message helps us understand her “Little Way” and use it in our daily lives.
This book study will use the included study guide by Marc Foley, O.C.D to help us see how the spiritual insights of Story of a Soul apply to our lives. It provides introductions, reflections and discussion questions for each chapter of the text.
We will meet on Saturday mornings weekly 9 am- 10:30 am at the GREC, discussing one chapter each week. The book study will finish on April 25th or May 2nd, depending on if the group wants to meet the day before Easter. Attending each week is not necessary; though keeping up with the reading will be helpful.
The first meeting will be February 8th, 2020, with discussion of Chapter I, Alencon, including the Background and Context and Reflections and Questions following that chapter. (The Introductions and Prologue are interesting and provide historical background, but are not necessary for the discussion.)
The book that will be used is: Story of a Soul: Study Edition and can be purchased on Amazon.com
