Welcome Friends!
It is wonderful to have you here, as members of our parish families, and as parents of children who desire to receive these incredible sacraments of our Church.
By receiving these sacraments, we enter into the fullness of what the Church has to offer her children: the opportunity for reconciling ourselves in the eyes of God, and the very body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The latter of the two, the Holy Eucharist, sets us apart from all other Christian denominations. We profess the consecrated bread and wine to be the Body and Blood of Christ. This is why it is called "the source and summit of the Christian life" (Lumen Gentium 11) as well as, "the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch" (Presbyterorum ordinis 5).
We know that each child has a unique relationship with God already, by virtue of being alive. They have a remarkable capacity for the spiritual life and are endowed with a God-given hunger for living faith. It is our goal at the parish to assist you, the first and most significant teachers to your children, with the process of preparation and to support you in prayer. Our approach will be that of partnership with you, as we recognize that the example of your leadership in the Faith will have the most profound effect upon your children.
New this year, we have a handbook available for your convenience. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with it, and please reach out with any questions or concerns as they may arise. I can't wait to meet you and your children!
